Child's Play is an independently owned and operated pediatric clinic that was established in 1997 by Rae Suba OTR/L, a certified and highly  experienced occupational therapist.

Mission: Child's Play strives to provide the most current, innovative and holistic occupational therapy treatment practices to the pediatric population, especially those with sensory processing issues.  We work closely with families utilizing a consultation model compliment.

Frame of Reference:  The treatment model perspective that guides the clinic is a combination of Sensory Integrative and Developmental approaches.

Specialization:  Child's Play Clinic specializes in the treatment of Sensory Processing Disorders (SPD) otherwise known as Sensory Integration Dysfunction (SID), Sensory Integrative Disorder and Dysfunction of Sensory Integration (DSI).

Sensory Motor Gym:  Child's Play Clinic features a safety matted exercise/treatment area.  This sensory motor gym is fully equipped with tunnels, crash mats, foam climbers, air pillows/mats, foam stairs, balance beams, steps, benches, ramps/slides and therapy swings.  We also have a variety of Physio-balls & Physio-rolls for the treatment of posture and balance.  A sensory "Quiet Space" is also provided in this area.

Suspended Equipment:  We are proud to offer the highest quality suspension equipment for use in Sensory Integration Therapy.  Our gym offers multiple suspension points to provide both rotary and linear motion opportunities.  Included in our numerous therapy swing choices are the platform swing, bolster swing, glider swing, supine flexion swing, net swing, trapeze, inner-tube swing, disc swing, ladder tower swing and neoprene swing. 

Sensory Supports:

We also have a variety of tactile play items, sensory bins, massagers, brushes, adjustable natural/incandescent lighting, weighted and compression garments and regulating music CD s for use in our sensory treatment sessions.

Therapeutic Listening:  We are proud to offer the highly desirable Sennheiser headphones for use in our Listening Therapies.  We offer THE COMPLETE library of Therapeutic Listening CD choices (35+), also available for clients to rent.

Fine Motor Work Space:  In addition, we also offer a fine motor work space with ergonomic child-sized table and chairs and a variety of sensory seating cushions to accommodate your little one's postural, sensory & attention needs.  

The Cabinet:  At our fingertips we is a variety of toys, games, activities, manipulatives and puzzles to address all your child's fine motor needs.

Strengthening:  We utilize several resistive items in our upper body strengthening programs including Weighted Medicine Balls, Thera-Band, Thera-Tubing, Thera-Putty and Thera-Band Exercise Balls. 

Reception Area:  We offer a comfortable yet quaint waiting area for families.  Toys, coloring books/crayons, blocks, a television and videos are available for your use in keeping siblings occupied.  Parents can watch their child's private therapy session on a closed circuit television, or feel free to take a few moments for themselves to sit and read your choice of magazines or therapeutic resources from our lending library during your child's session.  Emergency Diaper supplies are available in reception area.
